Idaho Public Television is very excited to let you know that the Perc H. Shelton and Gladys A. Pospisil Shelton Foundation Advised Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation has granted us $3,000 towards the costs of providing services in Valley County. As you know, IdahoPTV has been upgrading to digital our three translators over the last two summers that provide service to Cascade, Donnelly and McCall. In addition, we’re excited about the prospect of establishing a new translator that will give coverage to the southern of Valley County. We’re hoping to have the funding and permiting process completed by the 2012 summer. Again, thank you to the Perc H. Shelton and Gladys A. Pospisil Shelton Foundation Advised Fund!

We just found out that IdahoPTV has been awarded another competitive equipment grant from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utility Service (RUS). They have granted us $73,115 to complete our digital equipment needs for rural translator service for McCall/Brundage, Council, Challis, Mackey, Bonners Ferry and Priest Lake. The work to complete these projects are scheduled to take place over the next two summers. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank two IdahoPTV staff members, Cindy Lunte, Grant Writer and Rich Van Genderen, Director of Technology, for their outstanding efforts at securing these needed funds!
