In the lead-up to November's elections, which for the first time in American history feature a female major party candidate for president, Dialogue begins its 23rd season with a conversation on political and gender issues.

On October 14, host Marcia Franklin talks with Lisa Maatz, the Vice-President for Governmental Relations for the American Association of University Women. Maatz discusses political and social issues related to gender, including the numbers of women holding political office, equal pay, and bias in the workplace.

The two will also discuss perceptions of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Maatz spoke at the “Women and Leadership” conference at Boise State University's Andrus Center for Public Policy in September.

DIALOGUE “Gender and Politics: Lisa Maatz” airs Friday, October 14, at 7:30 p.m. and repeats Sunday, October 16, at 5:00/4:00 p.m. MT/PT.
