Nancy Taylor-Grant Biography
I am Nancy Taylor-Grant,
a native of Houston, Texas. I attended
undergraduate school at Prairie View A&M University, where I majored
in
Biology and with double minors in Chemistry and Education. I received
a B.
S. in Arts & Sciences in 1990. I then went on to attend graduate school
at
Alabama A&M University, where I received a M.S. in Plant Science (with
research studies in Plant Molecular Genetics) in 1993. I began my
professional career with the Bureau of Land Management in 1994, immediately
following graduation. I am currently a Park Ranger with the Bureau
of Land
Management with emphasis on Environmental Education and Outreach.
I have received
a number of awards and exciting opportunities in
undergraduate and graduate schools, as well as with the Bureau of
Land
Management. I am active within my community where I currently serve
as
Chairperson for the Board of Christian Education at St. Paul Baptist
Church, and as a member of a Governor appointed commission entitled
the
Idaho Commission for National and Community Service.I
enjoy reading and learning, and sharing what I know with others. I
also
enjoy writing and get a thrill out of sports, particularly basketball.
