RICK GREENAWALD Biography

Rick Greenawald is the manager of the Faulkner Planetarium at the Herrett Center on the College of Southern Idaho campus in Twin Falls. A professional planetarian for over fourteen years, he has also managed theaters in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Greenville, South Carolina. For the past six years he has overseen the daily operations of Idaho's largest planetarium. His daily routine includes maintaining the theater's equipment, programming shows and presenting programs to both the public and school groups from across south central Idaho. In addition to captivating audiences in the "theater of the stars," he also conducts star parties and solar observing sessions for the museum. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Rick has had a lifelong interest in astronomy that started with his youth spent in his native Wisconsin.
