For our 30th Anniversary show, we were fortunate to meet singer/songwriter Michelle Coleman, who allowed us to use her song, "Home in My Dreams." The song is performed by her band, Shakin' Not Stirred, and brings added emotion to the part of the show dealing with the landscape of Place. Watch "Home in My Dreams"   Play video button

"Over the years," writes Michelle, "I've written few place-based songs, even though I have had the pleasure of writing and producing many CD's. Two years ago, as I strolled the foothills on the eastside of Boise, this song began to unveil itself to me. At the time, our family had moved through a few important transitions.

"My oldest brother had died suddenly; and each day as I hiked the foothills, I wished that he would have been able to have made the journey to see this beautiful place where we had found a true heart home. Also, we had just sent off our future son-in-law, who would spend the next 18 months serving in Iraq.

"So the song, while filled with the spirit of love I have for Idaho, also has a feeling of longing and hope for reunion."

For our 25th Anniversary show, Curtis Stigers and Bill Coffey wrote and performed "Where the Mountains Meet the Sand." The song was written specially for Outdoor Idaho, and we are very grateful to Curtis and Bill.  Watch "Where the Mountains Meet the Sand"   Play video button
