"I try to get my students to see light, to see composition and think more about their pictures instead of just going out and taking a snapshot, to see how elements contrast each other and can make a more interesting picture."
Whether photographing crab fishing boats in sub zero temperatures on the Bering Sea, or white sand beaches and people in Thailand, Chad Case mixes a sense of art and photo journalism to capture the precise image for the moment. His photographs have appeared in Holland America, Mountain Sobek, National Geographic Explorer, National Wildlife, New York Times, Outside Magazine, and Sunset Magazine, among others.
Chad also operates Idaho Stock Images (ISI), Idaho's premier stock photo agency. Representing over 60 photographers with more than 26,000 images online, ISI provides stock imagery to advertising, corporate and editorial clients worldwide. Chad also teaches workshops on photography and the digital darkroom. He resides in Boise with his wife Kathleen and daughter Annika.
