It's said history was written on the back of a horse. It took the introduction of the strong, swift animals to carry humans and their ideas to a wider audience. Even today, horses and mules can help carry us into places we might never otherwise get to go. A horse and a rider can cover great distances. Add large packs and you can really increase your possibilities.

Or you could take it a step further by hitching teams of animals to wagons that can haul just about anything over rough and tumble terrain.

These pastimes used to be commonplace but now they are not so ordinary. We met a man who rides hundreds of miles for charity, teamsters guiding wagons along dusty pathways and back country horsemen travelling high into the mountains. We learned working with animals is a pursuit that inspires a special passion in many people.
