Mile 49

Loon Creek enters the Middle Fork from river right and is one of the major tributaries supplying the Middle Fork with water. Recent wildfires have burned through a good portion of the land drained by this beautiful creek.

Of all the major creeks, this is the one that boaters are willing to walk up, to enjoy the hot tub situated about a mile upstream. Local cowboys helped Mother Nature create a wonderful way to relax.
