To the small group of boaters who have actually kayaked the mile long Milner Run on the Snake River, this is the biggest, baddest whitewater in all of Idaho!

The Milner Gorge is located not too far from Twin Falls, Idaho, and within a few miles of the town of Murtaugh.

In boater terms, the Milner is classified as a Class V rapid. The skill level is definitely "Expert."

For our show, we managed to talk Rob Lesser and Pat Harper into running Milner not once but twice for our cameras. Both of them had run it before, and because of their skill level, they made parts of it actually seem easy, even though they got twisted around pretty good in the Big Vee Wave.Rafters should definitely be careful here: in 1996 an intermediate rafter tried to run Milner in a cataraft, flipped out and drowned.
