Go to the fourth floor of the Statehouse when it is in session (Jan through March). The House is on the east side of the building and the Senate is on the west. You can sit in the viewer's gallery and watch debate and voting. Generally the floor sessions start at 11 AM, but later in the session, they start earlier and the bodies often reconvene in the afternoon.
