Birman's film examines the bad genetics, bad luck and bad choices that saw a 16-year-old runaway forced into prostitution. Now facing life in prison, Cyntoia Brown claims she feared for her life when she shot and killed an older man who picked her up. The film looks at social issues that led to this tragedy. G
