With help from Home Secretary William Towers, Harry returns to work on a provisional basis after being on leave because of trading a state secret for Ruth's safety. Now Towers tells Harry that his Russian opposite, Llya Gavrik, has been smuggled into England along with his wife, Elena, a former asset of Harry's. Gavrik is proposing a partnership between Russia and the United Kingdom without the Americans knowing. Then Section D learns of a kill order by the Chechens on Gavrik. G
