"Matthew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty"
Matthew Bourne's production marks the choreographer's return to the music of Tchaikovsky for the timeless fairy tale about a princess cursed to sleep for 100 years, which was adapted into a ballet in 1890. Bourne takes the familiar story and sets the beginning in 1890 when the ballet was new. As the princess matures to meet her fate, the time is in the Edwardian era. When the prince awakens her she finds herself in modern times. G
