Jessie Little Doe, descendant of the Wampanoag tribe of Massachusetts, has recurring visions and dreams of familiar-looking people speaking an incomprehensible language. The dreams inspire her to search for her people's native language unused for more than 100 years. Historical documents, a fellowship at MIT and the modern Wampanoag community help her breath new life into a dead language. G
