Interviews with historians, scientists, family stories, newsreel clips and historical photographs tell of the devastation, its aftermath and how the event continues to mold public land policies. The film includes a dramatic re-creation of how Ed Pulaski of Wallace saved most of his crew from being overrun by the fires by keeping them in a mine tunnel. G
