Monday, Nov 26, 2012 - 4:30 AM    Denise Levertov - Called one of the "central figures of American poetry in the last fifty years," Levertov, who died in 1997, was a poet of doubt and faith, war and peace, Christianity and Judaism. Her poetic development is described by Dana Greene, author of Denise Levertov, a Poet's Life. Greene was interviewed at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC where Levertov's photograph is part of an exhibition entitled "Poetic Likeness: Modern American Poets. D
