Bombs Away: LBJ, Goldwater and the 1964 Campaign That Changed it All   Three-year-old Monique Corzilius counts to 10, pulling petals from a daisy. A voice from mission control then counts down as the camera zooms into Monique's dark pupil. An atomic blast and ensuing mushroom cloud consumes the TV screen as President Lyndon Johnson's voice proclaims "We must either love each other, or we must die." This political ad, "Peace Little Girl," aired only once or twice during the 1964 presidential campaign between Lyndon Johnson and Barry Goldwater, but it ushered in a new era of the television attack ad. The 1964 campaign also reshaped the American political landscape in many ways.G

Ball of Confusion: The 1968 Election   Has there ever been a year like 1968? Assassinations, racial unrest, nationwide riots, and an endless war in Vietnam put the nation on edge and produced a historic three-way presidential election where all the candidates were deeply flawed. Backed into a corner by rising casualties in Vietnam and with no easy exit strategy, President Johnson stunned the nation in March 1968 when he announced he would not seek a second full term in the White House. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were cut down by assassins' bullets, race riots and anti-war protests erupted in hundreds of cities across the country and the world, and massive demonstrations and an unforgiving police response at the Democratic National Convention nearly tore the party apart.G

Moscone: A Legacy of Change   This documentary chronicles the life of George Moscone, California legislator and mayor of San Francisco, whose life was cut tragically short by an assassin's bullet 40 years ago this November. We'll look at how Moscone changed the face of progressive politics both locally and nationally with his campaigns on behalf of racial equality, fair labor practices, and civil rights, especially for the LGBTQ community. Besides family members and lifelong friends, interviews include U.S. D
