On Story  "Charles Burnett: Film As A Means for Social Change"  Writer/Director/Producer Charles Burnett shares his career development process in narrative and documentary filmmaking with Killer of Sheep (1978), his seminal film, which was definitive in highlighting African American cultural experience. Burnett's films Killer of Sheep and To Sleep with Anger were both added to the National Film Registry at the Library of Congress for being culturally significant. D

Cyberchase  "When Penguins Fly"  Penguins can't fly - or can they? In Cyberspace, on one special night each year, the penguins of Penguia take flight to deliver gifts to young borgs across the virtual universe. For the first time ever, the CyberSquad's friend Fluff is participating, and invites his pals Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit to join him in the impressive Penguin March. They head to the Ice Palace, where the gifts are made and where magic snowflakes are sprinkled on the penguins so they can fly. D

Quilting Arts  "Tech-Nique"  Ignite your creativity with a combination of technology and unique for tech-nique. Heidi Proffetty starts out with an intro to digital cutting and how to design using small pieces. Then learn all about eco printing with Lesley Riley. D

Paint This With Jerry Yarnell  "Winter Sentinels, Part 4"  In this final session, Jerry shows his viewers how to continue painting highlights on the corn stalks to give them a strong, sunlit appearance. He then shows how to detail and highlight the barns and silos. Now he shows how to seat the corn stalks by drifting up the snow along their base and up into the body. D

Pati's Mexican Table  "Pot Luck Party"  It's Pot Luck Party day at Pati's house! Today, she's having some friends over and this time everyone's contributing to the meal - no one shows up empty-handed. Pati also welcomes home design expert, Sabrina Soto, who is bringing along one of her favorite Cuban recipes. Globe Trekker  "Tough Boats: The Nile, Egypt"  Globe trekker Holly Morris travels down the iconic Nile River from Aswan to Cairo visiting some of the greatest sites of antiquity from the age of pharaohs, including the temples of Ramses the 2nd in Abu Simbel, the Valley of the Kings, and the Great Pyramids. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "Family Brunch"  Today, Lidia shares some new show-stopping dishes for the perfect family style brunch that includes crostata with kale butternut squash and ricotta, made of a flaky dough filled with a creamy colorful mix of ricotta, kale, butternut squash and golden raisins. Carrot and orange salad is the next item on the menu-a bright dish that adds color to any meal. Lidia's potato and egg frico, a crispy asiago cheese crust made with potatoes and eggs, is always a winner at the brunch table. D

Simply Ming  "Jamie Bissonnette"  James Beard Award-winning Chef Jamie Bissonnette, co-chef/partner of Ken Oringer, swings by Ming's loft to turn up the heat with eggplant. While Jamie prepares a spicy shrimp with Thai eggplant, Ming cooks up eggplant with an Asian twist - a tasty, spicy Sichuan eggplant dish called Yu Xiang Qie Zi. These are two spicy eggplant dishes you won't want to miss. D

Ellie's Real Good Food  "Office Food Overhaul"  Ellie visits a busy office where stress has led to junk food snacking and fast-food lunching.
