Cyberchase  "Zeus on the Loose"  (topic: Fractions) - When the kids fail to stop Hacker from stealing Pandora's box in mythological Greece, they must solve a riddle and complete challenges to satisfy Zeus and earn a second chance. In the course of their adventure, Matt, Jackie and Inez discover that a fraction is a problem in sharing. The challenge is solving increasingly difficult problems in sharing while they confront a myriad of mythological creatures. D

Quilting Arts  "Handmade Gifts"  Gifts made by hand celebrate love and friendship. Teacher and author Pepper Cory creates useful gifts in the Japanese tradition of zakka. Mixed media artist Teresa Shippy embellishes and sews a colorful journal cover for a favorite writer or artist. D

Paint This With Jerry Yarnell  "Triple Mischief, Part 3"  In this episode, Jerry continues to show how to detail and highlight the raccoons' bodies. Specifically, he concentrates on shaping and highlighting the tails. Then he shows how to add miscellaneous details and highlights to further shape and emphasize the proper shape of the eyes, ears notes, mouth, etc. D

Chef's Life  "Stand By Your Cabbage"  Vivian's summer itinerary picks up with a 14-day photoshoot as she preps for a first-time trip to Feast Portland. Before heading out west, Sam Jones and Miss Lillie share old school cabbage recipes that influence the dish she prepares for festival goers. While on the road, Vivian trusts John and Justise to hold down the fort back home. D

Joanne Weir's Plates and Places  "Risotto"  Attend a cooking class in the Veneto, Italy with Joanne and her students as they create a two-course meal featuring the region's famous Amarone wine and explore one of the region's most historic rice mills. Back home in San Francisco, Joanne makes risotto with Amarone wine and radicchio and demonstrates extruded pasta. Lidia's Kitchen  "Tomato Time"  Tomatoes make the perfect canvas for any recipe, and in today's episode, Lidia shares three of her favorite dishes featuring this juicy, delicious staple of Italian cuisine. Her menu includes eggs poached in tomato sauce, served over easy on top of a crunchy slice of grilled country bread; stuffed tomatoes, filled with a classic combination of rice, mozzarella and basil. Lidia's chilled tomato soup is a perfect summertime dish prepared with a complex addition of basil, orange and yogurt - a bright, refreshing dish. D

Simply Ming  "Langoustine & Tomatoes with Chef Axel Bjorn Claussen"  It wouldn't be a visit to Iceland without experiencing its geothermal energy. Ming visits Freidheimar, a tomato greenhouse in Iceland that runs off of geothermal energy to make over 370 tons of tomatoes a year. Ming picks tomatoes off the vine to bring to Fishmarket Restaurant in downtown Reykjavik where he meets chef Axel Bjorn Claussen to make some explosive cocktails along with his sous chef Kirill Ter-Martirosov. D

Lucky Chow  "Ramen Mania"  Ivan Orkin, the renegade New Yorker-turned-Japanese-ramen-chef, discusses ramen culture in New York versus Tokyo. Chef Nakamura from Sun Noodles explains what makes a great bowl of ramen. Later, seafood purveyor-turned-ramen-chef Yuji Haraguchi creates a New York deli-style version of his broth-less ramen dish, mazemen, using sustainable and typically discarded seafood from a nearby supermarket. Born to Explore with Richard Wiese  "Scotland: Land of Loch Ness"  Journey with Richard Wiese to Scotland as he competes in the Highland Games, a celebration of Scottish traditions that goes back more than a thousand years. Richard meets a shepherd who is one of the top trainers of Scottish Sheepdogs. On the waters of Loch Ness, he learns the secrets of Nessie from the man who's spent more than 40 years searching for the legendary monster. D
