7:30 pm
My Greek Table with Diane Kochilas  "You Say Tomato, I Say Domata"  Can anyone imagine Greek cuisine without the tomato? When this relative newcomer arrived in Greece it was at first disparaged and feared. It took a curious Capuchin monk living on one of the oldest streets in the world, in the Plaka section of Athens, to first plant this new-world vegetable in the 18th century. From there, the tomato spread to Santorini, where it has been a staple crop ever since. D
8:00 pm
Ask This Old House  "Scorched Floor, Hardy Plantings"  Ross tests a smart stud finder; Nathan travels to Oregon to repair a wood floor that was burned from a hot iron; Tom shares the best techniques to use a table saw safely; Jenn replaces and improves foundation plantings that were crushed by snow. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "What's Baking"  With the oven on, Lidia creates sweet and savory dishes her viewers can easily make at home. Gratins are delicious, and she starts with a leek and prosciutto gratin made with gruyere and walnuts; next is roasted chicken with pomegranate, marvelously moist inside and with a crispy, caramelized exterior. While the oven is still on, she bakes crumbly and chewy raspberry and walnut butter cookies for dessert. D

From low and slow-smoked "brisket on the bone" (beef plate ribs) to smoked pears with smoked whipped cream for dessert, you'll learn to smoke on a kettle grill, pellet smoker, electric smoker, and offset barrel smoker. D
11:00 pm
