POV  "Biblioburro, The Donkey Library"  Two burros, Alfa and Beto, carry the circulating library of donated books that 39-year-old Luis Soriano, a small-town elementary school teacher in northern Columbia, takes to isolated villages during arduous weekend journeys. The film travels with Soriano, who walks with his donkeys, through dense tropical beauty on nearly impassible trails. They face dangers from nature and humans (guerillas, bandits) to reach the villages and the children hungry for learning.G

6:00 pm
POV  "Steam of Life"  Filmmakers Joonas Berghäll and Mika Hotakainen tour Finland's saunas, from rural woods to city health clubs, to capture men speaking from the heart in the warmth created in the close quarters. The men talk of grief, hopes, joys and memories in a mix of pathos and humor. The film features countryside saunas created in rustic buildings, a motel, trailer and deserted phone booth as well as sleek modern city versions.G

7:00 pm
Frontline  "Flying Cheap"  FRONTLINE investigates the safety of regional airlines, now handling more than half of all scheduled domestic flights in the United States and responsible for the last six fatal commercial airline accidents. Although a ticket may be through a major airline, the flight might be outsourced to a relatively obscure regional carrier, where pilot rules can be less rigid, pay minimal and training lax.G
