Primary Sources: Workshops In American History  "Korea and the Cold War: A Case Study"  This workshop looks at the first use of military force under the Truman Doctrine, and the Korean War as the first practical manifestation of America's Cold War "containment" policy. Using works by George Kennan and Walter Lippman, treaties, and the texts of the Marshall Plan and the Truman Doctrine, the onscreen participants take on the roles of major military, political, and strategic players at a mock Senate hearing to decide whether to intervene in Korea in 1950.G

Super Why!  "The Ghost Who Was Afraid of Halloween"  It's Halloween in Storybrook Village and Pig is so frightened, he won't go Trick or Treating with his friends! The Super Readers pay a storybook visit to Little Ghost, who's a bit of a scaredy cat himself, to teach him there's more to Halloween than meets the eye!. D

Dinosaur Train  "Night Train/Fossil Fred"  Night Train - Dad, Buddy and Tiny take a special ride on the Dinosaur Train at night, learning about animals that are active after dark, culminating at the Big Pond for a nature walk under the full moon. Fossil Fred - Buddy, Tiny and Don play "detective" and search around the Big Pond for fossils. The kids end up finding an entire skeleton of a Jurassic dinosaur. D

Sesame Street  "A Song for the Letter G"  Elmo, Rosita, and the letter "J" are singing a song about the sound that the letter "J" makes. After the "J" leaves, the letter "G" approaches Rosita and Elmo and tells them that he can make the "juh" sound, too, just like the letter "J", and he can also make the "guh" sound like in the word "gorilla." Elmo and Rosita think it is amazing that "G" can make two sounds! The "G" is upset, though, because he doesn't have a song about him like the letter "J" does. D

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood  "The Class Votes/The Neighborhood Votes"  The Class Votes - At school, Daniel and his classmates get to choose their new class pet! Teacher Harriet explains that they can either get a bunny or a turtle. The kids learn what it means to 'vote' and that sometimes it doesn't always turn out your way. Luckily, ALL of the kids find something to love about their new pet, 'Snowball'! The Neighborhood Votes - The Tiger family is going to Clock Factory Park today to hear a big announcement from King Friday. D

Sheep's Halloween Costume - It's Halloween - Sheep's favorite day of the year. Sheep likes nothing more than to dress up, so she always goes out of her way to make herself a special costume. But what will she do when her WordFriends need pieces of her costume for their own costumes?. D

The Logging Locos tell them that there is no snow on Misty Island because they haven't chuffed The Misty Island Snow Song. They need to puff to the top of a hill and stay still, then go to the sea and wait patiently - then snow will appear! Gordon doesn't believe that snow will appear but Thomas begins to race to the top of the hill and to the sea as the snow song says. D

Wild Kratts  "A Bat in the Brownies"  When a little brown bat crashlands into a plate of Jimmy Z's famous brownies, Martin and Chris out set out to convince Aviva, Jimmy Z and Koki that bats are nothing to be afraid of. With bat activated Creature Power Suits, the bros follow join their new friend on a nocturnal fly about, and the entire crew must come to the rescue when the bat colony's roost is destroyed by a lightning bolt. In the end the Wild Kratts crew "goes batty," as they gain a new appreciation for bat ecology, predators and insects and echolocation, and learn to love bats. D

Cyberchase  "Problem Solving In Shangri-La"  (Topic: Problem Solving) - Hacker is holding the kids captive aboard the Grim Wreaker, when a storm forces the Wreaker to land on a snowy mountaintop. They are taken prisoner by a peaceful but mysterious Zen Master, who devises a game of strategy to test their problem solving skills. The winner of the game will be set free - the loser will remain a prisoner. D

He and his band, The Country, blaze through two dozen songs, in his updated classic soul style, infused with everything from doo-wop to hip-hop.
