Landscapes Through Time with David Dunlop  "Etretat - A Landscape of Inspiration along the Normandy Coast of France"  David introduces the majestic white cliffs rising out of the sea at Etretat on the Normandy Coast and their role in the inventive periods of French painting from the romanticism of Delacroix, the realism of Courbet to the Impressionism of the late 1860's through the 1880's. They all respond to Etretat's iconic arches over the sea. He compares the styles and visions of Etretat's artists and reveals the keys to their paintings. D

Chef's Life  "The Fish Episode, Y'all"  Vivian presents a few of the many ways fish makes its appearance in southern cooking. She learns the rules of a good Eastern North Carolina fish stew: Make it a social event. Use whole hog bacon. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Paris: Embracing Life and Art"  Rick rides a unicorn into the Middle Ages at the Cluny Museum, takes a midnight Paris joyride in a classic car, and gets an extreme close-up look at heavenly stained glass in Sainte-Chapelle. He goes on a Tombstone pilgrimage at P?re Lachaise Cemetery, and then savors the Parisian caf? scene.G

Burt Wolf: Travels & Traditions  "Guatemala, Part 2"  In Guatemala part two, Burt tours the most famous Maya crafts market in Central America, visits Lake Atitlan in the Sierra Madre mountains, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful locations in the Americas. He (carefully) investigates an active volcano, learns how coffee is grown and processed in the high mountains, reviews the history of coffee, learns about an ancient Maya ball game that looks a lot like basketball. He interviews Richard Hanson, one of the world's leading authorities on early Central American culture and tours Guatemala City, the country's capital. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "Italian Style BBQ"  It's all about the grill today since Italians love a "grigliata mista" or Italian grilled platters of meats, seafood and vegetables. Today, Lidia shares a menu that your guests will love as well. On the menu is grilled calamari salad with tomato coulis; grilled apple and radicchio salad with gorgonzola and a flavorful Tuscan maremma style steak. D

Cook's Country  "Southern Discoveries"  Test cook Bryan Roof shows Julia Collin Davison how to make an authentic version of South Carolina smoked fresh ham. Tasting expert Jack Bishop challenges Julia to a tasting of spiral sliced bone-in ham. Equipment expert Adam Ried reveals his top pick for potato mashers. D

My Greek Table with Diane Kochilas  "The World's Most Famous Olive"  Diane visits a small village in Laconia, the Peloponnese, where the famous Kalamata olive is cultivated, to follow the famous olive from harvest to table. After a chilly day of collecting, scoring, and processing the ripened fruits, Diane heads to the kitchen to whip up an olive feast. First up, a dish fit for a Greek hero, Spartan chicken, with those celebrated olives, tomatoes and feta cheese. D

New Scandinavian Cooking  "Plenty of Foods"  In today's episode, Andreas investigates the great variety of inland Norway, the most productive farmland in the country. The episode starts in the mountains, where he makes a dish flavored by the mountains: veal liver with mushrooms, heather honey and heather oil. In the local town bakery he uses yesterday's bread to make a toast-infused ice cream. D

We begin in the beautiful fall colors for a magical hike through an outdoor sculpture park and a visit to the 19th century at the largest museum in New York State. Katie explores Frank Lloyd Wright's Lake Erie masterpiece as it's remodeled. D

Connect with English  "True Love/Friendship"  Rebecca and Ramon exchange Christmas presents - and a kiss. Ramon suggests they spend New Year's together.G

Connect with English  "The Lost Boys/A Very Good Year"  Alex and Vincent go ice skating on their big night without telling anyone and Alex falls and hurts his ankle. The two boys go to a hospital whilst their families search everywhere for them.G
