Quilting Arts  "Culture In Cloth"  Transferring art images from one medium to another expresses old cultures in new ways. Art quilter Enid Gjelten Weichselbaum translates ancient Norse sagas into story quilts. Quiltmaker Pepper Cory celebrates Far East culture with patchwork and sashiko to create wrapping cloths called furoshiki. D

Paint This With Jerry Yarnell  "Artful Refuge, Part 4"  In this final session, Jerry shows his viewers how to block in the large tree on the left side and finish it with the #4 script brush. He then shows how to apply the final details and highlights on the grassy areas. He now shows how to properly paint in the old crooked fence posts and wires. D

Nigella: At My Table   Treats are in store as Nigella rustles up some of her favorite dishes to share around the table. For a lunch with friends, Nigella's herbed leg of lamb is relaxingly simple to prepare, served with garlicky roast potatoes with oregano and feta. That's followed by her voluptuously soft and rich chocolate olive oil mousse. D

Yan Can Cook: Spice Kingdom  "Fine Art, Fine Food"  The art scene is thriving in Chengdu. Martin tours an artist community and sees first hand how local artists create ceramics and file paintings. To add his personal touch he added an encrusted chicken in the community kiln. D

This Old House   Jeff shows Kevin how he's framing the net zero house. Richard demonstrates heat loss and gain to design a balanced HVAC system. He and Don visit the International Builders Show. D

Globe Trekker  "Road Trip: Patagonia"  Zay Harding takes a journey along Ruta 40 by climbing Volcan Lanin, the highest peak in the area. Traveling down the Seven Lakes Drive, he passes through the Lake District in San Carlos de Bariloche, heads next to the former hippie colony of El Bolson, boards the La Trochita steam train, searches for Butch Cassidy's hideout in Cholila and drives on to Trevelin, a town founded by Welsh immigrants that maintains that culture. Zay then makes the long trek to Cueva de las Manos to admire its incredible rock art, reaches El Chalten for the spectacular view of Mount Fitz Roy before the final leg that takes him to the Cabo Virgenes lighthouse, the last stop on Ruta 40. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "A Dinner Party"  Entertaining comes in many forms, and today Lidia creates a menu that is perfect for an intimate gathering of friends and family. This simply elegant dinner menu includes swordfish alla bagnara, a delicately steamed swordfish made with an aromatic mix of lemon, capers and garlic, a traditional dish from the Calabrian town of Bagnara. She also makes a spicy bloody Mary, followed by a classic lagane e ceci, ribbons of fresh pasta made with chickpeas and pepperoncino. D

America's Test Kitchen from Cook's Illustrated  "Chinese Classics"  Bridget and Julia reveal the secrets to making the ultimate Chinese barbecued pork at home. In the Equipment Corner, expert Adam Ried reveals his top picks for wire racks and rimmed baking sheets, and then test cook Dan Souza makes a perfect recipe for Sichuan braised tofu with beef (mapo tofu). D

Simply Ming  "Will Gilson"  This week on Simply Ming, rising star and Cambridge-based chef, Will Gilson, joins Ming. Will, the chef and owner of Puritan & Co. in Cambridge, is going to help Ming cook up duck two ways. D

Ellie's Real Good Food  "Office Food Overhaul"  Ellie visits a busy office where stress has led to junk food snacking and fast-food lunching. Armed with photos of sugary office treats submitted by one office employee to solicit her help, Ellie shares tasty alternatives to fight back. Recipes: Herbed farro salad with chicken, walnuts, feta and spinach; Asian chicken wrap; Buffalo chicken salad. D

Art Wolfe's Travels to the Edge  "Australia: Arnhemland and the Kimberley"  In Australia's Northern Territory, the place of "Dreamtime" for Aboriginal people, Art captures images of intricately painted rock art and canyons carved by wind and water. He chronicles the connection between the region's first people and the natural world.G

Connect with English  "The Retirement Party/The Phone Call"  Alberto brings Rebecca to the retirement party for the Mendozas and her godmother arrives with news that Rebecca's father has been taken to the hospital in Boston.G
