Living with Fragile X   The documentary is meant to reveal a new view of those in our society that are traditionally considered "flawed" or "abnormal".It takes a rare and intimate look at the lives of several families who live with a member affected by fragile X syndrome, the leading cause of inherited mental disability and the leading known cause of autism. It explains what fragile X is and how it is passed, exposes the day-to-day challenges faced by those who have fragile X and reveals the frustrations of parents and their fears for what the future holds.G

Science In Focus: Force and Motion  "Drag Races"  Forces can help put objects into motion and can also bring moving objects to a stop. In this workshop, fifth-grade students explore the physics of motion using plastic cars with strings and washers attached to provide a pulling force. The students test the speed of the vehicles and explain what forces bring the vehicles to a stop, as the cars collide with and displace barriers at the end of their run. Finally, the students discuss their findings to help solidify their understanding of the effect of forces on motion.G

Teaching Channel Presents  "Teaching English to the Core"  Teaching English to the Core: We'll join three teachers as they integrate the Common Core State Standards into their daily lessons. Along the way, we'll see one teacher's insider "play-by-play" on his lesson plan and see another teacher reflect on what went right and wrong with her lesson. D

Learn how to add those decorative accents that define your personality. The first segment shows how to make a decorative cuff - it's more fun than a regular bracelet and has a texture that makes it interesting to wear. D

Crafting at the Spotted Canary  "Things That Wrap A Gift"  We're wrapping gifts - quickly and with special personalization. Learn how to make custom wrapping paper using stamps - you can create just about any motif or design. Then, it's card making including how to make an envelope and a box. D

Burt Wolf: Travels & Traditions  "Miami, Florida"  Miami Florida is a sophisticated, subtropical city on the same latitude as the Sahara Desert. It has been described as the American city of the future. There's fun in the sun but there's also a major infusion of performing arts. D

We'll also discover the true origin of the corn dog, the filled dough nut, the horseshoe sandwich, root beer and Abraham Lincoln's favorite cake. We'll visit Abraham Lincoln's hometown and see what his personal life was really like. D
