5:00 pm
America ReFramed  "51 Birch Street"  Documentary filmmaker Doug Block had every reason to believe his parent's 54-year marriage was a good one. So he isn't prepared when, just a few months after his mothers' unexpected death, his 83-year old father, Mike, phones to announce that he's moving to Florida to live with "Kitty", his secretary from 40 years before. Always close to his mother and equally distant from his father, he's stunned and suspicious. D

7:00 pm
Global Voices  "Education Education"  What does an education get you? In ancient times in China, education was the only way out of poverty, in recent times it has been the best way. China's economic boom and talk of the merits of hard work have created an expectation that to study is to escape poverty. But these days China's higher education system only leads to jobs for a few, educating a new generation to unemployment and despair. D

8:00 pm
Outdoor Idaho  "The Foothills"  The backdrop for Idaho's Statehouse and the city of Boise is also the instant getaway for people in the Treasure Valley with more than 10,000 acres set aside through a voter-approved levy and more than 135 miles of trails. Runners, walkers, mountain bikers, wildflower hunters, wildlife watchers and more make year around use of the Foothills, which merge into the Boise Ridge, topped by Bogus Basin Ski Resort.G

8:30 pm
Dialogue  "Laurel Thatcher Ulrich"  Host Marcia Franklin talks with Pulitzer Prize-winning historian and Idaho native Laurel Thatcher Ulrich and about her latest book, Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History. Ulrich, a professor at Harvard University, was in Idaho to speak at the Idaho Humanities program in Idaho Falls.G
