Earthflight, A Nature Special Presentation  "North America"  Producer John Downer and his team show the world on the wings of birds, beginning with snow geese. A tiny camera on the back of a trained bird allows viewers to join snow geese flying over New York Harbor. The team also used spycams, a radio-controlled drone, and put cameramen on paragliders piloted by biologists. Their methods allow viewers to fly under the Golden Gate Bridge with pelicans and sail on air currents with golden eagles.G

Dialogue  "Remembering The Holocaust"  Host Marcia Franklin talks with Marion Blumenthal Lazan, who works to educate people about Nazi Germany's Holocaust and her experiences as a survivor. She is the co-author of a young adult book about her experiences called Four Perfect Pebbles and the subject of the documentary Marion's Triumph: Surviving History's Nightmare. Lazan was imprisoned for more than six years in four camps, including the Bergen-Belsen camp, where Anne Frank died.G

Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly   Guantanamo Ethics - In the wake of the September 11th attacks, the US established a detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to imprison and interrogate those captured in the new war against terror. Today, citing concerns about torture and human rights abuses, a growing movement is urging that Gitmo be shut down. Kim Lawton looks at the complex ethical and moral questions surrounding Guantanamo, including whether hunger-striking detainees should be force fed. D

The jets take off, laden with ordnance, and return hours later, still carrying the same bombs. As the Nimitz crosses the equator, the entire ship takes part in the Crossing the Line Ceremony, an ancient maritime ritual. D
