Thick Dark Fog   Walter Littlemoon attended a federal Indian boarding school in South Dakota sixty years ago. The mission of many of these schools in 1950, was still to "kill the Indian and save the man." The children were not allowed to be Indians - to speak their language or express their culture or native identity in any way at the risk of being severely beaten, humiliated or abused. D

Global Voices  "Circus School"  The Flying Trapeze Group and Handstand Group are training hard for the national contest but end up differently. Children of the trapeze group win the championship heroically after conquering a number of difficulties. The handstand group gives up the contest because of the training fatigue. D

Hard Problems: The Road to the World's Toughest Math Contest   Follows six exceptional high school students who represented the United States in 2006 at the world's toughest math competition - the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). Officially, its goal is to support the current political system by creating a future elite among the brightest and most loyal Russian teenagers. But their agenda is also to keep the political opposition from spreading their views among the Russians. D

Last Harvest: The Yemenis of the San Joaquin   THE LAST HARVEST explores the lives and times of Muslim immigrants from Yemen who settled in California's San Joaquin Valley. Yemeni migrant workers started coming to the United States in the post-1965 era when the new immigration law opened the gates to non-Europeans. While most settled in the Detroit area, a small band of villagers from the mountainous Ibb region found work in the San Joaquin Valley where they tended the vineyards that produce a yearly bounty of internationally renowned table grapes. D

Tea & Justice: Nypd's 1st Asian Women Officers   Tea & Justice chronicles the experiences of three women who joined the New York Police Department during the 1980s-the first Asian women to become members of a force that was largely white and predominantly male. In this award-winning documentary, Officer Trish Ormsby and Detectives Agnes Chan and Christine Leung share their fascinating stories about careers and personal lives, as well as satisfactions and risks on the job, the stereotypes they defied, and how they persevered. Intrigued by the image of Asian women in a non-traditional profession, filmmaker Ermena Vinluan explores her own mixed feelings about cops while honoring the challenges Ormsby, Chan and Leung embraced, and the far-reaching changes they helped bring about. Searching for Roots In Canton   Searching for Roots in Canton (2012) follows a Chinese American, Nathan, and a Chinese-African American, Alana, to Canton, China to search for their ancestral homes. They discover a history of Chinese American heritage that they never knew. They travel to the land of the famous watchtower diaolous, where their ancestral villages are located in the towns of Kaiping and Enping. D
