And finally, equipment expert Adam Ried reviews oven thermometers in the Equipment Corner. D

Passport to Adventure  "Guam - Where East Meets West"  Warm, turquoise waters, lush jungles, intriguing island culture, cosmopolitan shopping and a plethora of historical sites await the traveler that makes the trek to Guam. The island is an endearing mix of Asia, 1960's America and exotic Pacific island. Hosts Julie Conover and Mark Jennings venture into the little traveled parts of the island to swim in waterfalls, cha cha with the locals at the Wednesday night fiesta, and meet a refreshing group of teenagers passionate about preserving their Chamorro heritage. D

Globe Trekker  "Globe Trekker Food Hour: Israel & The Palestinian Territories"  Trekker Angela May discovers the diverse and rich food traditions of Israel, with visits to Jaffa, Jerusalem, the coastal city of Acca and the hills of Judea. Then chef Bobby Chinn investigates whether or not there is an authentic Palestinian cuisine as he explores Jerusalem, Jericho, Bethlehem and Ramallah.G

Sierra Center Stage  "Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers"  The dance floor erupts when Rod Piazza and his band, The Mighty Flyers bring their distinctive West Coast boogie-woogie style to Sierra Center Stage. Featuring the always entertaining Honey Piazza on keyboards, this band's unique and entertaining blend of swing, jive, and R&B has earned them the reputation as one of the best blues bands in the world today - including the honor of "Band of the Year" at the 2006 Blues Foundation Awards gala. D

Austin City Limits  "The Philharmonic Opening Gala with Itzhak Perlman"  Since their debut in the early 90s, the Dave Matthews Band has combined the worlds of jam and pop to win multiple Grammys and gain a permanent position as one of America's top concert draws. With Matthews' introspective lyrics and distinctive vocal timbre and a stellar group of musicians, this Virginia-based band has created some of the most memorable music of the last decade.G

Great Performances  "Vienna Philharmonic Summer Night 2012"  Conductor Gustavo Dudamel leads the Vienna Philharmonic under the stars in the gardens of Austria's Imperial Sch?nbrunn Palace. Vienna Ballet dancers join the orchestra in celebration of the world of dance in music by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky and Richard Strauss. The concert also features performances of Debussy's "La Mer" and the Austrian favorite "Wiener Blut" ("Viennese Blood") by waltz king Johann Strauss.G

Music Voyager  "The Capital of Salsa"  The Colombian city of Cali, known as the world capital of salsa, also serves as the urban center of the country's Afro-Pacific culture. Host Jacob Edgar discovers why Columbia adopted as its native style the upbeat tropical dance music of salsa. He meets Grupo Niche, one of the world's most famous salsa bands, for a performance at their private club Dulce con Dulce, and explores the famous Juanchito neighborhood where salsa clubs line the streets. D
