Kennedy is part of a group of programs honoring the 50th anniversary of his assassination in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. His national campaign is the first to be waged on television, an advantage for the telegenic candidate, helping him win the election despite his lack of legislative achievements and his Catholicism. Oregon Experience  "Sagebrush Symphony"  Violinist Mary Dodge moves to Burns in 1910 with her civil engineer husband, where she gives lessons. She establishes a youth orchestra called Sagebrush Symphony that tours first eastern Oregon and then to Portland and Salem before World War I. When Dodge and her husband move to Portland, she again gives lessons and starts a youth orchestra, this time determined to build it into a permanent young people's symphony.G
