Accompanied by Victor Nores' short film, Euthanas Inc., about an old lady whose family wishes to no longer be burdened by her presence, and her plans to grant them an unexpected change of scene. D

Wyland's Art Studio  "Orcas Below"  Art Lesson: Creating Depth. Create the illusion of three-dimensional imagery. Mastering the ability to create depth in art takes practice and patience. D

Chef's Life  "Persimmon Style"  Vivian takes the twins to pick persimmons and learns about the different varieties of the fruit. She then takes that knowledge to Atlanta. Back in Kinston, she gets a pudding lesson from chef Bill Smith of Crook's Corner in Chapel Hill. D

Sara's Weeknight Meals  "Beantown"  The best chefs know that beans can round out a meal with extra flavor and texture, and today we have two of the best chefs. Joey Campanaro of New York's Little Owl makes an amazing salad dressing chicken with escarole and bean salad on the side, and chef Ming Tsai joins his old buddy Sara to make black bean scallops and zucchini. Sara then takes to the woods to search for edible wild plants with a professional forager who sells her finds to New York's top chefs. D

Ask This Old House  "Jimmy Diresta, Trough Planter"  Richard demonstrates a solution for replacing a water main shutoff; Jenn travels to Tennessee to build a planter out of an animal feeding trough; Mark waterproofs brick; Kevin heads back to Jimmy DiResta's shop to build a sign. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Germany's Dresden and Leipzig"  Saxony, part of the former East Germany, remains a secret to most travelers. Rick visits the two great cities of the region: the capital city of Dresden, with the opulent palaces and art treasures of the Wettin dynasty, and Leipzig, with its Bach heritage, a massive monument to the day Europe beat Napoleon, and museums remembering its communist heritage. D

Destination Craft with Jim West  "Peru"  Jim West travels to Cusco and Lima in Peru, South America where master artisans teach gourd carving, Peruvian pottery, and making a traditional retablo. He also crafts the perfect pan flute. Jim also makes a "ceviche" dish with a master chef, learns about silver jewelry making, and weaves colorful tapestries. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "Crazy for Mushrooms"  Lidia loves earthy, delicious mushrooms and today shares some of her favorite mushroom recipes that she has prepared over the years. She starts with a warm mushroom salad, a medley of warm wild mushrooms on a bed of frisee topped with crispy pancetta and a poached egg. She also makes funghi marinati, marinated button mushrooms in a flavorful mix of rosemary, orange and garlic. D

Cook's Country  "Southern Discoveries"  Test cook Bryan Roof shows Julia Collin Davison how to make an authentic version of South Carolina smoked fresh ham. Tasting expert Jack Bishop challenges Julia to a tasting of spiral sliced bone-in ham. Equipment expert Adam Ried reveals his top pick for potato mashers. D

Ellie's Real Good Food  "Desserts with Benefits"  On the menu, desserts with a one-two punch-- they satisfy your sweet tooth and deliver significant health benefits at the same time. New Scandinavian Cooking  "A Journey to the North"  In this episode, Andreas travels north across the Arctic Circle on the train from Trondheim to Bodo. He goes fishing in the Queen of Rivers, Namsen and grills the salmon on a riverbank. On the highlands of the north Andreas makes reindeer meatballs and in Bodo where the landscape becomes lusher and greener again, Andreas fries a piece of Arctic beef - fit for a feast. D

Equitrekking  "Vermont"  Equitrekking host Darley Newman visits the Mountain Top Inn outside of Killington to explore the area's Green Mountains trails and learn the art of driving with two large Clydesdales. At the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm, Darley experiences the smooth gaits of the Icelandic horse on a multi-day inn-to-inn ride through meadows, woods and old farm lands in the Mad River Valley. Next, Darley visits the University of Vermont's Morgan Horse Farm to learn about Vermont's state animal and UVM's historic breeding program, which dates back to 1878. D
