Smart Travels - Europe with Rudy Maxa  "France's Burgundy and Loire Regions"  From the town of Beaune, Rudy learns about winemaking history and the taste of Burgundy.G

The Desert Speaks  "Ecuador's Fog Forest: Mists Over The Desert"  Host David Yetman travels to the agrarian community of Loma Alta, Ecuador. This city lives in symbiosis with a cloud forest nature preserve situated in the mountains above the city. Before the area was protected, local residents exploited and decimated the forest with little regard for its ecosystem. D

Ciao Italia  "Lombardy Cooking/La Cucina Lombarda"  Mary Ann travels with her students to the Northern Italian region of Lombardia in the foot hills of the Swiss Alps to teach them the unique recipes of this small, but picturesque and prosperous region, starting with Osso Bucco with Gremolata Sauce, followed by Buckwheat Pasta, and then Baked Radicchio and Gorgonzola Cheese, and finishing of with Sbrisolona, a delicate cornmeal cake for dessert. D

Taste of History  "Lafayette's Sacrifices"  LaFayette is portrayed as the dashing young French General at Washington's side. Who recalls the misery and heartache LaFayette received in France for his support of America's cause; he and his wife, hunted down and imprisoned. Conversely, his American victory tour in 1824 was a sold-out event wherever he went. D

Simply Ming  "Rice Pilaf with Guest Ellie Krieger"  Cooking on the fly with Ming in this week's episode of Simply Ming is Chef Ellie Krieger. Ellie, hailed as an expert on all things healthy, teams up with Ming showing how Rice Pilaf, along with some surprise ingredients and special spices from Ming's pantry are brought together to create: Toasted Garlic Quinoa and Coriander Crusted Chicken and Spicy Shrimp over Preserved Lemon Pilaf. D

The Jazzy Vegetarian  "Festive Lasagna Dinner"  Host Laura Theodore, prepares her "Festive Zucchini Lasagna," a delicious dish with a healthy twist. The meal starts with a simple to make, but fancy to serve, "Quick Carrot and Orzo Soup." "Raspberry Maple Tofu Whip with Fresh Berries" finishes this meal with a flourish. D

Martha Bakes  "Pate Brisee"  Martha demonstrates how easy it is to make a tender, flaky pate brisee crust - one of the most versatile and essential elements in the baker's arsenal. This crust can be used to make sweet or savory dishes; Martha offers a variety of options, including mile-high apple pie, a sumptuous tomato tart and more. D

Austin City Limits  "The Steve Miller Band/Preservation Hall Jazz Band"  Miller performs classic blues tunes, plus favorite hits. The Preservation Hall musicians present classic New Orleans jazz with special guests the Del McCoury Band and Jim James of My Morning Jacket.G

Sesame Street  "Great Vibrations"  Bob is conducting a class of kids playing different musical instruments. Abby walks by and is amazed by the beautiful music. Bob offers to teach her, but first, she needs to choose an instrument. D

Dinosaur Train  "Dinosaur Big City, Pt. 3/Dinosaur Big City, Pt. 4"  Dinosaur Big City Part III - The Dinosaur Train arrives in Laramidia, the Dinosaur Big City, and Buddy and the Pteranodon family explore the crowded "dinosaur metropolis." At the Theropod Convention, our kids reunite with Annie Tyrannosaurus and her parents Dolores and Boris, and they all meet the multi-horned mayor, Mayor Kosmoceratops! Dinosaur Big City Part IV - Buddy and Tiny help King Cryolophosaurus overcome his fear of performing in front of his biggest audience ever, and he wows a large dinosaur audience when he sings his new song, "Whole Lotta Theropods" at the Theropod Convention in Laramidia, the Dinosaur Big City. D

Super Why!  "King Midas"  Pig only has one toy car, but he wants lots more! Super Why and his friends fly into the story of a ruler with the golden touch and meet King Midas. The king may think that MORE is better, but all he ends up with is more problems! The reading heroes help King Midas, and Pig learns an important lesson about appreciation. Educational Objectives: To learn to be glad about what you have, discover the alphabet, identify the letters M, I, L, K., practice the magic of spelling, and use the power to read to change the story. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Pick Your Friends/ Finola's Farm"  Pick Your Friends - It's Valentine's Day and Nick and Sally disagree hotly on how to decorate the card they're making for the Cat. Does this mean they aren't really best friends? The Cat takes them to meet Sheldon, a tortoise who knows all about friendship. They learn that Sheldon's best friend is completely different from him and that being best friends doesn't mean you always have to agree. D

Wild Kratts  "Walk on the Wetside"  When Chris and Martin locate an amazing water-walking Basilisk lizard in Costa Rica, they try to replicate its actions in order to learn how this rare lizard is able to walk on water. They discover that by using its wide feet, churning its legs to create water pockets and keeping up a certain speed, the Basilisk is able to run on water in order to escape from predators. And when Donita Donata begins capturing basilisks, Martin and Chris us their new water walking powers to rescue these rare lizards. D

Sara's Weeknight Meals  "A Trip to Brazil W/Leticia Moreinos Schwartz"  The flavors of Brazil come alive as Brazilian chef Leticia Moreinos Schwartz takes Sara to some of her favorite bodegas and Brazilian neighborhoods in Connecticut. They return to prepare traditional Salt Cod with Bacon, Onions, Eggs and Potatoes plus Chicken, Shrimp, Peanut and Cashew Stew. D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Scotland's Islands and Highlands"  Rick tosses a caber (log) at a Scottish clan gathering, remembers Highland massacres and takes a ferry to Iona.G
