Meet Lex Gillette
"Medal Quest"
As a high school freshman, Lex Gillette started the long jump -- one of four Paralympic sports he now competes in. Lex talks about losing his vision as a young boy and says, "We had to figure out how we were going to move on from that." Alana Nichols: My Competitive Spirit Kicked In

Alana Nichols of the women's wheelchair basketball team admits she likes going, "really fast." I love feeling my heart beat," she says. Her competitive spirit took over when she started playing wheelchair athletics and now she's the first woman to win gold in both the Summer and Winter Paralympics. D
