Taste of History  "Winning The War with Bread"  Chef Walter Staib bakes some of America's favorites, inspired by the Baker General, Christopher Ludwig. A native German, he brought the art of gingerbread making to Philadelphia. Chef Staib roasts a turkey to demonstrate how to make a classic turkey pot pie from scratch, then finishes the meal with gingerbread and poached pears. D

Simply Ming  "Texas 2"  It's fall in Dallas, and we're visiting with renowned local chefs this week on Simply Ming! Ming tries out the local fare in Texas, visiting area purveyors and meeting with friends old and new. Getting inspiration from the city, Ming contributes his own dish to the cities cuisine culture. Austin City Limits  "Ms. Lauryn Hill"  Enjoy a career-spanning performance by R&B icon Ms. Lauryn Hill in a rare television appearance. The Grammy-winning singer and songwriter performs a set of solo hits, new songs and Fugees classics. D

Sesame Street  "Move It!"  It's Move It Day on Sesame Street where everyone moves their body. But after spending the day just sitting and eating cookies, Cookie Monster learns that exercising and moving your body gives you lots of energy and helps you feel better. Also featuring a song with Ne-Yo, Murray had a little lamb, and Elmo's World. D

Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood  "Daniel Makes a Noise Maker/Daniel Makes the Neighborhood"  Daniel Makes a Noise Maker - Daniel and Katerina are playing "super hero helpers." They use Baby Margaret's rattle as their super-duper noise maker to make sure everyone knows that help is on the way. When Baby Margaret wants her rattle back, Katerina and Daniel create their own super-duper noise makers and continue saving the day! Daniel Makes the Neighborhood - Daniel and Prince Wednesday are at the Museum-Go-Round playing with Miss Elaina. D

Dinosaur Train  "Iggy Iguanodon/Shiny Can't Sleep"  Iggy Iguanodon - The Pteranodon family continues their World Tour and meets Iggy Iguanodon, a funny chap who shows them his unique way of walking while leading our family to some white cliffs where Dad is very excited to fish and dine! Shiny Can't Sleep - Shiny gets homesick while the Pteranodon family is away from home on their World Tour. She cannot sleep, so Mr. Pteranodon takes her around the Dinosaur Train and they observe the train at night and the activities of various nocturnal creatures. D

Peg + Cat  "The Roxanne Problem/The Girl Group Problem"  The Roxanne Problem - Pirate Island. Cat longs to impress the savvy Roxanne with his knowledge of solid shapes. So he moves his lips as his hidden friend Peg speaks for him. D

Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!  "Thump/Squirreled Away"  Thump - Nick is trying to make his mother a surprise lunch, but she keeps coming into the kitchen! If only there was a way for him to know when she was coming. The Cat takes Nick and Sally to meet his friend Twitch the rabbit. Twitch and her bunnies teach Nick and Sally how to stop, look and listen for danger. D

WordGirl  "Violet Superhero/Big Business"  Violet Superhero - There's a new superhero in town when Violet becomes "The Framer." It seems like her "superpowers" aren't much help while WordGirl is doing all the crime-fighting. But when the Butcher attacks "The Framer" comes to the rescue. D

The Mind of a Chef  "Origin"  Ed returns to his roots in East Brooklyn, where as a Korean kid in New York, he was surrounded by an eclectic mix of cultures and cuisines that inspired how he cooks today. Spending time with other chefs who have roots in one cuisine but have veered away from their assumed culinary paths, Ed explores the meaning of origin in the city where his life and career began. Ed and Ivan Orkin stop by one of the city's oldest "appetizing" stores and head back to the kitchen to cook their versions of American cuisine (Japanese-Jewish and Korean-Southern). D

Rick Steves' Europe  "Germany's Dresden and Leipzig"  Saxony, part of the former East Germany, remains a secret to most travelers. Rick visits the two great cities of the region: the capital city of Dresden, with the opulent palaces and art treasures of the Wettin dynasty, and Leipzig, with its Bach heritage, a massive monument to the day Europe beat Napoleon, and museums remembering its communist heritage.
