Hands On Crafts for Kids  "Plants - True Plants - Trees and Bushes"  Some of the most familiar plants are trees and bushes. Trees are a woody plant with a distinct main stem, or trunk. At maturity, trees are usually the tallest of plants, and their height and single main stem are what make them different from shrubs which are shorter and have many steMs. Trees are perennials, plants that live for at least three years. D

Ciao Italia  "Perfect Paccheri / Paccheri Perfetti"  This unique, tube-shaped pasta has room inside for all kinds of secret things. Mary Ann recounts how Italians used to smuggle cloves of garlic across the Austrian border inside these little beauties. But today she makes even better use of them by creating Paccheri with Shrimp, Paccheri with Mushroom Sauce, and Paccheri with Sun-Dried Tomatoes. D

New Scandinavian Cooking  "Common, Yet Tasty"  Andreas travels to northern Norway and Bodo, where despite the variety of fish, the locals' favorite remains the modest pollock. Andreas finds out why and then makes seared pollock with onion jam, lingonberries and asparagus, homemade fish fingers with remoulade sauce and pollock gratin. D

This Old House  "Bedford Project, Part 10 of 16"  Master carpenter Norm Abram and general contractor Tom Silva rebuild the front door surround to eliminate rot and also to create a more attractive and historically accurate entranceway. Certified arborist Matt Foti inspects the ailing American beech tree, and finding die back and root compaction, prescribes deep root injections that will both amend and aerate the soil. Host Kevin O'Connor meets nurse-turned-general contractor Monica MacKenzie at an antique home she recently renovated in Hingham, Massachusetts. D

Rough Cut - Woodworking with Tommy Mac  "Blanket Chest"  The blanket chest has been around since the Pilgrims came to Massachusetts in the 1600s. In this episode, Tommy builds one that demonstrates basic frame construction, and mortise and tenon joinery. And, he shares his techniques for carving, a special feature of the box that is dramatic, yet simple.G

b organic with Michele Beschen  "What's Up with Wheatgrass"  Michele gets schooled on how to go about drinking her "greens". Her friend Kerri Rush, "the local wheatgrass girl", shares the wonderful benefits of wheatgrass. She shows us how to grow it, how to juice it and some tasty recipes that even kids enjoy. D

Grand View  "Crater Lake National Park"  Baumann travels to Crater Lake National Park. Along his journey he meets Kevin Bacher, interpretive ranger for the park: Neva Eggsman, the last Klamath elder that speaks her native language: and Mark Buktenica, lake sediment researcher. Baumann concludes the show by painting Wizard Island. D

Simply Ming  "Kung Pao Sauce"  In Chinese cuisine, Kung Pao Sauce is a classic way to dress up vegetables, beef, chicken, and fish. Joined by two very special guests, Iris and Stephen Tsai (better known as "Mom & Pops"), Ming creates Kung Pao Chicken and Kung Pao Clams and Pork using his master recipe. Peppercorn Tuna on Kung Pao Bok Choy Fondue combines the tender taste of the tuna with the rich fondue. D
