Ciao Italia  "White Asparagus/Asparagi Bianchi"  Mary Ann takes a good, long look at this elegant white vegetable before creating a spring-fresh Cream of Asparagus Soup, a crisp White Asparagus Salad, and an Italian favorite, Asparagus, Bassano del Grappo-style, topped with a rich, buttery egg sauce. He prepares a millefeuille (puff pastry layered with a filling) of venison fillet with prune; venison liver with caramelized tangerine; smoked trout; a traditional hunter's stew with sour cream and goat cheese; and finally, the ultimate venison steak. Grannies On Safari  "Varanasi - India's Spiritual Capital & Bangalore - A Commercial Star"  The Grannies make a pilgrimage on bicycle rickshaws to the "Ganga Ma" or Mother Ganges, a place of life and death revered in the Hindu religion. They observe day and evening celebrations, rituals and even participate. They visit a factory famous for Varanasi silk and of course shop! A quick flight to Southern India and to the city of Bangalore, a known major tech metropolis, brought new experiences. D

P. Allen Smith's Garden Home  "Enclosure"  Smith explores the design principle of enclosure. He presents examples at his Garden Home Retreat, a peaceful garden setting at the Baptist Hospital in Little Rock, and at Whitehall House.G

This Old House  "Bedford Project, Part 14 of 16"  General contractor Tom Silva shows master carpenter Norm Abram how he's restoring the circa 1720 raised panel front door with flexible epoxy and a new paint job. Countertop installer Danny Puccio is on hand as the 1,300-pound marble island top is hefted into the kitchen, and kitchen designer Kathy Marshall shows how the hole in the marble will accommodate a concealed compost bin. Plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey shows host Kevin O'Connor how he's upgrading the ducted HVAC system to go from one zone to three with the help of a plug-and-play zone damper system that makes retrofits and zoning a hot air system easy. Grand View  "North Cascades National Park"  This episode explores the dynamic features of the North Cascades. This beautiful park is home to jagged peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and over 700 glaciers; It is also renown for it's unbelievable hikes. Baumann is accompanied by park ranger, Ryan Booth and Sherman Williams Sr, as they discuss the landscape of this beautiful region; Paula Ogden-Muse, national park ecologist; and Native American, Dorothy Stark, reveal the details of the region's natural and human history.
