JFK: American Experience  "Part One"  This biography of President John F. Kennedy is part of a group of programs honoring the 50th anniversary of his assassination in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. Interviews with family members and historians trace his transformation from sickly youth to Washington's most eligible bachelor to the nation's president. His national campaign is the first to be waged on television, an advantage for the telegenic candidate, helping him win the election despite his lack of legislative achievements and his Catholicism.
