Quilting Arts  "Paint, Dye, Print"  Make it brighter, bolder and more colorful with paint, dye and printing. Whimsical art maker Joanne Sharpe embellishes whole cloth quilts with vivid, free-form painting and colorful stitching. Esterita Austin uses still-life artistry to create with sheer organza transfers. D

Paint This With Jerry Yarnell  "The Perfect Perch, Part 2"  In this session, Jerry shows his viewers how to finish the sky and cloud formations. Then highlights the back- and foreground meadows. Then the shows how to highlight the background trees. D

Taste The Islands with Chef Irie  "Kingston to Bridgetown"  Chef Irie mixes big island and small island traditions with his Escoveitched Flying Fish over Coucou, Kale Salad with Mango Vinaigrette and a delightful Rum Raisin Bread Pudding with Coconut Custard Sauce. Chef takes on a drink-making challenge at the home of Vincentian Soca King Kevin Lyttle. D

Pati's Mexican Table  "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"  Pati invites a few of her girlfriends over for a much needed "girls' night in." But these girls are here to GRILL! Grilling isn't just a guy thing - Pati's got a great outdoor grill, and she's gonna put it to work by cooking up a mouth-watering menu of Mexican food with a BBQ twist. One of Pati's sisters shows up to help her mix some drinks too! This Old House  "This Old House U."  It's a big day for the apprentices as they learn how to frame a wall in the master bedroom, build a drain stack for the master bath and lay decking on the front porch. Meanwhile, the homeowners visit their kitchen cabinet designer. D

Rick Steves Special  "A Symphonic Journey"  Rick Steves, America's leading authority on European travel, teams up with the Cascade Symphony Orchestra and maestro Michael Miropolsky for a musical journey that begins in the United States, and touches down in seven different European countries. The special, taped at the Edmonds Center for the Arts near Seattle, Wash., celebrates music's power to stir the patriotic soul. D

Lidia's Kitchen  "My Favorite Braises"  Braising is a preferred technique in Lidia's kitchen and today she prepares one rich braised meat dish, along with two braised vegetable choices for the home cook. Recipes include: beef braised in barolo; a braised kale with bacon; and finally braised cauliflower. D

Cook's Country  "Southern Stews"  Test cook Bridget Lancaster shows host Christopher Kimball how to make a regional classic, Brunswick stew. Next, tasting expert Jack Bishop challenges Chris to a tasting of brown rice. Then, equipment expert Adam Ried reveals his top picks for shrimp tools. D

Simply Ming  "Hawai'i - Lee Ann Wong"  Ming continues his adventures on Maui with chef Lee Anne Wong. Heading to Kako'o 'Oiwi farm, the chefs gather traditional Hawaiian ingredients, such as taro plants, edible ferns and breadfruit. Heading into the kitchen, Ming and Lee Anne create a sumptuous meal celebrating the heritage of the islands. D

Steven Raichlen's Project Smoke  "Global Tailgate"  Victory will be yours! Start the party in the parking lot (or your backyard) with chicken legs, brined for maximum succulence, smoke-roasted over maple wood, then glazed with a fiery fusion of maple syrup and sriracha. One-fisted eating at its best. A quartet of grilled and smoked beans appears in a colorful side dish. D

Curious Traveler  "Curious Stockholm"  What did Alfred Nobel invent that led him to create the Nobel Prize? What is Gamla Stan? What's so important about the throne inside the Royal Palace of Stockholm? What is the Djurgarden Canal, and why was it only for the Royal Family? Why did the Swedes grow grass on their rooftops, and what's the history of their folk costumes?. D
