See what happens when we post our casting calls for new inventions and product ideas online! Thousands of "would-be inventors" submit their ideas and it's a challenge for our Everyday Edisons team to narrow it down to the top finalists. Things really get exciting when we fly them to Charlotte for the "red carpet" treatment complete with paparazzi, cocktail reception and a gourmet dinner. Facing the judges the next day nerves, tears and exultation overwhelm the hopeful contenders as they know they must dazzle the judges with their presentations. D

Drum roll please! 50 hopefuls become 11 chosen inventors for Everyday Edisons this season and their reactions are from stunned to exuberance. In this episode, we meet the inventors and learn what makes them tick. We go to their homes via Skype and HomeCam, see what inspires them and watch just how they came up with their unique inventions.
