Runners, walkers, mountain bikers, wildflower hunters, wildlife watchers and more make year around use of the Foothills, which merge into the Boise Ridge, topped by Bogus Basin Ski Resort.G

Saving The Ocean  "Destination Baja"  On Mexico's Baja peninsula, local fishing people developed a whale-watching co-op that now draws tourists from across the world. The co-op runs the tourist accommodations, polices the lagoon, regulates access to the whales and preserves most of the area as a quiet sanctuary for the whales and their calves. There also are now several other successful, self-regulated fishing co-ops along Baja's Pacific coast.G
