NOVA  "Ultimate Mars Challenge"  To achieve its successful landing on Mars with its precious load of instruments, the rover Curiosity first had to parachute through the Martian atmosphere at twice the speed of sound, then be gently lowered to the planet's surface by "sky crane" - a first-of-its-kind system. NOVA joins the scientists and engineers responsible for Curiosity's on-the-ground experiments, and is there for the exhilarating moments after the successful landing.G
