"The Enchanted Island"
This world premiere combines baroque music by several composers with a new English-language libretto featuring characters from Shakespeare's The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream. The starry cast features Danielle de Niese, Joyce DiDonato, David Daniels, Pl?cido Domingo and Luca Pisaroni. British theater artist Jeremy Sams devised and wrote the work, which is conducted by baroque specialist William Christie. Scenic designer Julian Crouch blends 18th-century theatrical techniques with advanced video projection designs.G
