He rambles through the heart of Rome admiring Bernini statues and pondering sunbeams inside St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican. Then he mingles with modern Romans during an early-evening stroll before dinner. He joins locals after dark at the Eternal City's most romantic nightspots.G

Images of artifacts from ancient Iraq mix with beautiful illustrations, dance, and costume to tell of the relations between gods and mortals, the search for friendship, love, and immortality. Featured cast members include Assyriologist Ben Foster, comic book illustrator Jim Starlin, and poet and playwright Yusef Komunyakaa. D

Thomas & Friends  "Fun in the Snow"  Let it Snow - Gordon and Thomas go to Misty Island to collect logs for Farmer McColl's animal shelter. The Logging Locos tell them that there is no snow on Misty Island because they haven't chuffed The Misty Island Snow Song. They need to puff to the top of a hill and stay still, then go to the sea and wait patiently - then snow will appear! Gordon doesn't believe that snow will appear but Thomas begins to race to the top of the hill and to the sea as the snow song says. D
