Everyday Edisons  "Happy Trails (And Trials) to You"  The waiting is over! A year after the casting calls, our 10 inventors are eager to know what's become of their inventions. In our final episode of the season, we reveal the status of each prototype, where they are in the timeline of success and how our Everyday Edisons team has worked with inventors throughout the season to help them to achieve their ultimate goal. Some may see their products stocked in major retail stores, others on direct response television spots and a few may face further obstacles to their success. D

Everyday Edisons  "An Idea, An Invention, An Opportunity"  See what happens when we post our casting calls for new inventions and product ideas online! Thousands of "would-be inventors" submit their ideas and it's a challenge for our Everyday Edisons team to narrow it down to the top finalists. Things really get exciting when we fly them to Charlotte for the "red carpet" treatment complete with paparazzi, cocktail reception and a gourmet dinner. Facing the judges the next day nerves, tears and exultation overwhelm the hopeful contenders as they know they must dazzle the judges with their presentations. D

Great American Seafood Cook-Off   Fires blazed and seafood sizzled as New Orleans hosted the fifth annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off in August 2008. During the two-day competition, 15 chefs from 14 different states prepared their best dishes using the seafood indigenous to their state. Famed New Orleans chef John Besh, the winner of the 2004 competition and the 2006 James Beard Foundation's Best Chef of the Southeast, hosted the event. D

This unit examines probability, tracing its evolution from a way to improve chances at the gaming table to modern applications of understanding traffic flow and financial markets. D

Mathematics Illuminated  "Geometries Beyond Euclid"  Our first exposure to geometry is that of Euclid, in which all triangles have 180 degrees. As it turns out, triangles can have more or less than 180 degrees. This unit explores these curved spaces that are at once otherwordly and firmly of this world. D

Nature  "Survivors of the Firestorm"  The wildfires that tore through the Australian state of Victoria in February 2009 incinerated more than a million acres, leaving death and destruction in their wake. Volunteers nurse burned and traumatized wildlife - even fish - back to health at wildlife hospitals and private facilities. Meanwhile in the forest, renewal is taking place too. One year later, the natural world is well on its way back to health.G

WordWorld  "Welcome Home, Duck/The Lost Letter L"  Welcome Home, Duck - Frog, excited about Duck's return from a long vacation, makes a "Welcome Home" banner to hang over Duck's nest. Problem is, the dock connecting Frog's log to Duck's nest has broken, so Frog has to find another way across. Frog tries building a SOCK and a BLOCK to replace the dock, but it's not until he builds a ROCK that he can land on, halfway across the pond, that he's able to get across the water to duck's nest. D

Caillou  "Blast Off to Space Caillou"  Sharing the Rocketship: While shopping for a birthday present for Clementine, Caillou and Leo decide to go 'halvsies' on a toy shuttle. They try to share it, but squabbles inevitably arise. When Caillou worries that Leo isn't talking to him anymore he finally realizes his friendship is more important than any toy. D

Barney & Friends  "Dream Big and That's What A Mommy Is"  Dream Big: As he watches birds fly overhead, Riff begins to daydream of flying. He decides to build his very own rocket ship and fly to Mars. The flight is not exactly a success, but Barney encourages him to never give up on his dream. D

Thomas & Friends  "Best Times!"  Sir Topham Hatt announces that the library is holding a special story time for all the children. He needs an engine to deliver the storybooks. Thomas is so excited that he has been chosen for the special that he doesn't wait to for the books to be tied in place. D
