Sierra Center Stage  "Richard Thompson"  Since Richard Thompson's recording debut in 1968, this singer/songwriter/guitarist has created a body of work unsurpassed in its sheer musical invention and emotional precision. Rolling Stone Magazine named Thompson's' album, "Shoot Out the Lights," (recorded with then wife Linda) one of the "100 Best Albums of All Time." Austin City Limits  "Bonnie Raitt/Mavis Staples"  The two women showcase classic R&B, blues and pop. Raitt presents songs from her latest album Slipstream, while Staples performs songs from You Are Not Alone and Staple Singers classics.G

Broadway: The American Musical  "Syncopated City (1919-1933)"  Prohibition and the Jazz Age bring change and a mix of classes and cultures. In the spotlight are Eubie Blake, Al Jolson, The Marx Brothers, the Gershwins and Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Kevin Kirk & Onomatopoeia In Concert   This one-hour concert documentary features performances from a January 2009 concert in Boise and interviews with the Idaho musicians who create jazz that is eclectic, high-energy, "practically unboxable." Members and alumni of the Treasure Valley Youth Symphony add a symphonic sound to the Idaho Public Television production.G
