Growing a Greener World  "Composting in the Twenty-First Century"  Although basic composting happens naturally, with the advent of some scientific know-how, we can still enhance the best soil amendment on earth: compost. Some companies, run by avid gardeners, have made it their life's work to make a good thing even better. In this episode, we dig deeper into some of this work to find out how modern science has improved on perfection and how we can apply this information to our own gardens for even better results. D

Hubert Keller: Secrets of a Chef  "Brioche Made Easy"  Chef Keller demonstrates why pastry chefs revere brioche, with its buttery taste and flaky texture. After showing a basic recipe for this French classic, he creates two mouth-watering variations. Basic Brioche Dough; Brioche with Garlic Saucisson; Brioche Buns with Walnuts, Bacon and Onions.G

Rick Steves' Europe  "North Wales: Feisty and Poetic"  Rick takes in Mount Snowdon, medieval castles and Victorian promenades. He learns a bit of Welsh, follows a miner deep into a slate mine, and herds sheep with a clever dog.G

P. Allen Smith's Garden Home  "Framing The View"  Smith considers inviting window treatments and energy efficient windows. He also shows how to frame pressed leaves to make botanical artworks.G

This Old House  "Bedford Project - Part 2 of 16"  Landscape contractor Roger Cook starts by transplanting the shrubs and plants from the front of the house to a place where they can be "heeled in" for safe keeping until the job is complete. Homeowner Joe Titlow shows host Kevin O'Connor how his company builds highly detailed architectural models (and a whole host of other useful items) by printing them with a 3-D printer. Then, Roger gets to work clearing the small trees and overgrowth that are in the way of the new family room addition. D
