Globe Trekker  "Globe Trekker Special: Volcanoes, Ring of Fire"  Trekkers explore volcanoes from Pompeii, Stromboli and Santorini in Italy and Greece to Krakatoa and Mt. Fuji in Indonesia and Japan. Other explosive sites include Montserrat, Pacaya in Guatemala, Cotopaxi in Ecuador, La Palma in the Canary Islands, and Mount St. Helens and Kilauea in the U.S.G

Christmas at St. Olaf: Rejoice, Give Thanks, and Sing   St. Olaf College in Minnesota celebrates 100 years of its Christmas Festival, which began as a small campus event and now has a worldwide audience. Five choral ensembles and the St. Olaf Orchestra - more than 500 student musicians strong - perform a rich repertoire of Christmas compositions, familiar carols and hymns from around the world. This year's performance also debuts newly commissioned works by American composers Andr? J. Thomas and David N. Childs.G

Austin City Limits  "Tom Waits"  This classic episode from 1979 features the singer-songwriter, composer and actor, with his distinctive gravely voice toward the end of the years when he had built a cult following but had not had a breakthrough recording. He combined a lyrical focus on desperate, low-life characters with a persona that seemed to embody the same lifestyle, which he sang about.G

Tonic Sol-Fa Christmas   The a cappella group, which specializes in pop arrangements, celebrates the holidays at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The spirited program highlights the foursome's trademark humor and skilled musicianship as they perform a mix of traditional, secular and original holiday songs. The music is intertwined with interviews with group members.G

9:00 pm 
Christmas at Belmont   Christmas at Belmont" is an annual Belmont University tradition celebrating the holiday season and the musical diversity and rich talent of the university's School of Music. The concert features a collage of familiar carols, classical masterworks, world music and light-hearted seasonal favorites. More than 400 student voices join with School of Music faculty to present the annual holiday production. D
