We visit one Los Angeles urban homesteader to see how she supplements many daily provisions for her family, right from her own backyard. From raising backyard chickens, growing herbs and vegetables to preserving the bounty, this urban homesteader does it all with approachable and transferrable tips and ideas. D

Woodsmith Shop  "Through Mortise & Tenon Projects"  The Woodsmith editors present a couple of special weekend projects, a classic, Nantucket-style bench and a traditional wall shelf.
