Cyberchase  "A Battle of Equals"  Hacker pollutes cyberspace with dangerous cyberstatic by tampering with four satellites designed to keep everything free from cyber- static cling. But is his plan only to trash cyberspace - or does he have something even more devious up his cloak? The kids learn the answer as they use balance scales and equations to restore the satellites and save Motherboard. The Big Idea: You can use an equation - a statement that two different expressions are equal to each other - to find unknown values that make the equation true. D

Quilting Arts  "Collage Techniques"  Collage is a technique we use extensively as art quilters but there are so many different materials and styles we can incorporate into our work. Jane Haworth is first, paying homage to last week's theme of travel with a travel journal quilt to remember past vacations. It features ephemera and a hand painted map highlighted with free motion. D

Paint This With Jerry Yarnell  "Artful Refuge, Part 4"  In this final session, Jerry shows his viewers how to block in the large tree on the left side and finish it with the #4 script brush. He then shows how to apply the final details and highlights on the grassy areas. He now shows how to properly paint in the old crooked fence posts and wires. D

Pati's Mexican Table  "Oaxaca Breakfast: Messy and Delicious"  Pati visits the town of San Martin Tilcajete to meet Maria and Jacobo at their famous art school. There, she learns the ins and outs of their delicate alebrije making process and tastes an outrageously delicious liver and eggs meal prepared for the artists. In her kitchen, those eggs are an inspiration for an Oaxacan-themed breakfast. D

After a quick visit to the spectacular Cologne Cathedral, Ming heads over to Wurst Case Scenario Restaurant to meet up with chef Rene Stessel, who shows Ming how to makes liver sausages. Then they cook up a storm, as chef Stessel makes an Austrian blutwurst with potatoes dish, and Ming follows with a spicy sausage fried rice. D

Mike Colameco's Real Food  "Ivy Stark / Dos Caminos"  A veteran of NYC kitchens for well over two decades, Chef Ivy Stark is a talent working under the radar. She runs the sprawling operations of the various Dos Caminos spots here and in Las Vegas. Though known for their volume, under her stewardship they do a remarkable amount of quality work from scratch.G
