Dialogue  "Being Miranda July"  Director, writer, and artist Miranda July talks to host Marcia Franklin about her life and work. The conversation was filmed in September 2016 at the Church of the Big Wood in Ketchum, as part of an event sponsored by the Sun Valley Center for the Arts. July discusses the inspirations for her work, her creative process, and how becoming a mother has changed her. Miranda July wrote, directed, and starred in the film "Me and You and Everyone We Know," which won a special jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the Camera d'Or prize at the Cannes Film Festival. Her most recent film is "The Future." July's novel,"The First Bad Man," was a New York Times bestseller, and her collection of short stories,"No One Belongs Here More Than You," won the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award. July is also known for her performance pieces.G

NOVA  "Meteor Strike"  A 7,000-ton asteroid crashes into the earth's atmosphere, explodes and falls to earth across a wide swath near the Ural Mountains on February 15, 2013. Dubbed the Siberian Meteor, it explodes with the power of 30 Hiroshima bombs, damaging buildings and sending more than 1,000 people to the hospital. Countless digital dashboard cameras record the event creating crowd-sourced data that allows NOVA crews and impact scientists to hit the ground in Russia in search of debris from the explosion, and clues to the meteor's origin and makeup. The program also explores some even greater explosions of the past, asking if Earth is in the cross-hairs of a celestrial shooting gallery.G

Then, side-tripping deep into the vast and mysterious Dartmoor National Park, he hikes to forgotten stone circles and chase wild ponies. D

The Desert Speaks  "Goat Packing in the Red Desert"  Natural historian and eccentric scientist John Mionczynski (also known as "Mr. Red Desert") "invented" goat packing nearly 30 years ago in the high and cold Red Desert of Southwest Wyoming. He guides host David Yetman on a journey through the "heart" of the desert - the Honeycomb Buttes, which boast extremely colorful honeycomb rock formations. D

Pati's Mexican Table  "Born in the Kitchen"  Pati travels to Mexico City to reconnect with her father and help him cook one of her favorite childhood meals: Huevos a la Mexicana. Back in her own kitchen, she'll use that visit as inspiration to cook a few dishes that she remembers fondly from childhood, and then passes on the tradition by cooking dessert with her youngest son, Juju. The Berley Brothers of Shane's Candy join Chef Staib to share the history of ice cream making above this centuries-old candy shop. D

Simply Ming  "Andrew Taylor and Mike Wiley"  Chefs Andrew Taylor and Mike Wiley head down from Portland, Maine for a seafood feast. Andrew and Mike work together on an oysters with kimchee ice and a savory brown butter lobster roll. Ming follows up with beer battered oysters with shallots and Chinese vinegar mignonette aioli. D

Joanne Weir Gets Fresh  "Eggs"  Joanne is a huge fan of eggs- - who doesn't have them in the fridge? - which makes them the perfect go-to food. They shine on their own, but are easy to dress up. Today, they are going to go to a California egg farm, and then Joanne and her student Stella will make yummy deviled eggs, open face toast with fennel, Frisee, prosciutto grana padano, and poached egg and lavender-lime souffle in a skillet. As they travel to the Clock Factory, Daniel notices how other families in the Neighborhood spend time together. Tiger Family Fun - Daniel and his family head to the Enchanted Garden, only to find Miss Elaina and her family doing one of their special family traditions: pick-your-own-dinner! Shiny's Sea Shells - Shiny, with help from Buddy, Tiny and Don, looks for the shiniest sea shells she can find, but ends up making a new friend named Henry, a hermit crab who lives in his own shell on the beach at the Big Pond. Can the Cat help? Why of course! His friend Zappa the snow leopard is an amazing balancer! He uses his big wide feet and his long tail to help him keep his balance. Nick and Sally don't have tails, but they see how Zappa moves carefully to keep his weight balanced, now they know what to do at home. Using broomsticks to help them stay balanced, Nick and Sally are able to cross the balance beam. D
